The runners endure for 100 km, 200 km through breathtaking natural scenery, including Mont Blanc, Reunion Island, Amazon’s jungles, and the Namib Desert. They persevere even as their minds and bodies break down and even as extreme fatigue causes hallucinations. Why do they persist under such conditions?
